Dear Diary – 2/3/22

Yesterday, the 1st was my wife’s birthday. We decided to book a lunch at an open air seafood restaurant called Billows. We booked online and were really looking forward to it.

As usual we arrived early and were looking around at the flower gardens. At about 10 minutes before the due time I received a phone call from the restaurant to say that they had been locked down due to an infection of one of the staff. It was very disappointing and I am pretty sure that they could’ve informed us much earlier.

We returned to Tai Po Hui on the shuttle bus and looked for somewhere else to have her birthday celebration. We ended up going to the Outback in Tai Po Centre. The service and food is always very good and they gave us the desert free of charge because it was her birthday.

in the afternoon I still manage to do my walk up to Kwan Yick and got in 5.4 km.

The government are yet to make up their minds about a lockdown but it is becoming increasingly likely that we will be locked down for nine days from around the 17th of March. If that happens it’s going to put a serious dent in my hiking. I will have to walk around the house 500 times.

Stay safe and sane everyone.
