Dear Diary – 3/3/22

I find myself becoming more and more depressed. Yesterday I went out to pay a few bills with the determination of doing an absolute minimum of 5 km, however, I didn’t even manage to make my minimum target. I only managed 4.9.

The latest from the government is that there will not be a nine-day lockdown later this month when they start universal testing. This is good news but it hasn’t hampered the panic buyers. I really don’t know whether it’s a case of distrust of what the government is saying or just the desire to be on the safe side I really don’t know.

Also, there was a distressing email from the China Coast Community to say that one of the elderly patients had been infected. Like many of the care homes in the territory, they suffer from staff shortages due to either the staff themselves becoming infected or one or more family members.

I’m on my way out now try some more shopping and I will do my best to make my minimum of 5 km.

Stay safe and sane everyone.

Happily married man to a wonderful lady. Living in Hong Kong. In my younger days I enjoyed hiking, camping and rock climbing. I've trekked in the Himalayas and climbed Mt. Kinabalu in East Malaysia.
